Colchester United Football Club are helping to raise awareness of testicular cancer by supporting our ‘Check Your Balls’ campaign!
The club’s first team players have backed the life-saving initiative, posing with signs highlighting the five key signs and symptoms of testicular cancer: lump, hardness, swelling, pain and heaviness.
The 'Check Your Balls' campaign aims to encourage young men to regularly check themselves and be aware of what’s normal.
“We’re proud to support The Robin Cancer Trust and help spread this vital message. If just one person checks themselves and catches something early because of this campaign, it’s been worth it.”
Club captain Tom Flanagan
Founded in 2012 following the passing of Robin Freeman, who lost his life to testicular cancer aged just 24, The Robin Cancer Trust is dedicated to saving lives through awareness, education and support for young adults affected by testicular, ovarian and germ cell cancers.
Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men aged 15-45, but when detected early, it is 95% curable. The Robin Cancer Trust’s mission is to make sure every young person knows the signs and feels confident checking themselves regularly.
